McIntyre 9th after Run 1

First run of the qualification round of the men's K1 has just been completed in the World Cup 4 sprint in Vienna on the newly built Wildwater course with Robert McIntyre posting the 9th fastest time with 43.84 seconds.

Nejc Znidarcic put down the fastest time with a blistering 41.2 seconds nearly 2 seconds clear of his nearest rival Bjorn Beerschwenger from Germany.  After Znidarcic the next 10 paddlers are tightly packed in the 43 second range with the balance of the top 15 mostly posting times in excess of 45 seconds.

Second runs will follow at 12.35pm Vienna time and the finals will commence from 2.15pm onwards.
