C1 Titles up for grabs on final day of action

The Under 23 C1 Men get us underway first up from 10am with Argentinian Sebastian Rossi favoured to take out the event.

He will face strong opposition from reigning world champ Patrik Gajarsky of Slovakia and Cedric Joly of France who won back to back Junior titles in 2012 & 2013 and has now made the step up to Under 23.

Jessica Fox will headline the Under 23 Women's C1 semi-final and is favoured to be the first Under 23 athlete to earn dual K1 & C1 championship titles.

Mallory Franklin of Great Britain and fellow Aussie Ali Borrows are both in fine form and ensure an exciting contest for the women's medals.

In the Junior Men's C1, Tyler Smith of the USA and Jakub Jeklin from Slovakia should feature prominently whilst in the women's semi-final, yesterday's kayak medallits are again likely to star with Ana Satila and Aussie Kate Eckhardt strong contedors for meadals. Miren Lazkano of Spain heads in as the fatest qualifier and watch out for Noemie Fox who narrowly missed a medal in the K1 yesterday.
