NEDP Information Session - Sprint National Championships

Melissa Hopwood, Friday, 21 March 2014

The National Elite Development Program (NEDP) is being revamped for 2014/2015.

The NEDP creates an environment which supports emerging athletes to reach their full potential, prepare for international competition, and contribute toward AC’s Winning Edge targets.

The NEDP bridges the gap between club participation and high performance for both athletes and coaches alike. The program aims to develop athletes from competitive club paddlers to Junior and U23 National Team members. Ideally athletes will progress from the NEDP to State Institute/Academy of Sport programs (where available), and ultimately on to the Senior National Team. Similarly, NEDP coaches gain invaluable practical experience and competencies as a result of their close involvement with national team coaches and development opportunities offered throughout the program.

To hear more about the NEDP, join Melissa Hopwood, AC National Pathway Manager, for an information session at the Sprint National Championships next week in Adelaide.

Exact details regarding the date, time, and location of the NEDP Information Session will be posted next week on the AC Facebook page and on posters around the venue at West Lakes Regatta Centre.

For those not in attendance at the Sprint National Championships, the NEDP Information Session will be recorded and made available after the event through the AC Media Download Centre.
