AC's New Anti-Match Fixing Bylaw

Mary Macaluso, Tuesday, 26 November 2013

Australian Canoeing has adopted an Anti-Match Fixing Bylaw, effective from the 25th November 2013.

Fraudulent betting on sport and the associated Match-Fixing is an emerging and critical issue globally, for sport, the betting industry and governments alike.

AC and its Member Organisations have a zero tolerance for illegal gambling and Match-Fixing and have a major obligation to address the threat of Match-Fixing and the corruption that flows from that.

AC will engage the necessary technical expertise to administer, monitor and enforce this Policy and will continue to work closely with the National Integrity of Sport Unit in its efforts to deter match-fixing and individuals associated with match-fixing in any way.
