Day 2 of the junior World Wildwater championships saw the classic teams races with Madeleine Batters joining Seb Spinks and Lochiel Cameron in the men's teams race.
Day 2 of the junior World Wildwater championships saw the classic teams races with Madeleine Batters joining Seb Spinks and Lochiel Cameron in the men's teams race. The team finished 8th in the 11 team field with a time of 11:46.96. The winners were Germany (10:26.29) with the Czech Republic coming in second (10:37:90) and Switzerland (10:43.44.)
Day 3 was the Sprint teams race and the Australians were again in action coming 9th in the men’s K1. Again the German's showed their superiority in the teams races taking out the men's K1 in a time of 1:15.50. The Czech Republic had the same time but were relegated to second place on a count back. The Slovenian team took third place.
Day 4 was the individual Sprint races. The fastest of the Australians was Seb Spinks who missed out on the finals by one spot finishing 16th with a time of 1:14.88. Lochiel Cameron finished 20th in a time of 1:15.46.
Madeleine Batters finished 20th in the women’s K1 sprint with a time of 1:27.27. In the final Martina Satkova from the Czech Republic took the gold in a time of 1:18.39 and Selina Zimmermann from Switzerland took the silver with 1:18.65 and Tereza Brozova from the Czech Republic took the bronze in a time of 1:19.79.
