Australian Canoeing is looking for an ambitious new coach to join our successful men's kayak program at the National Centre of Excellence on the Gold Coast.
Australian Canoeing's National Centre of Excellence is a successful medal winning program that combines the resources and expertise of the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) and the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS).
This full time position is based on the Gold Coast employed through the Australian Canoeing high performance program and will be supported by the resources and expertise of the AIS and QAS.
As a National High Performance Coach you will work closely with and under the direction of the National Men's Head Coach to ensure the ongoing development and success of our men's kayak team.
With a proven high level of technical expertise and international success in canoe sprint matched with a desire to learn and improve your coaching skills, you will be able to work as part of a high performance team, maximising opportunities and services to achieve optimum athlete development.
In addition to coaching identified athletes or squads in Australia, you will be required to travel extensively and attend national/international camps and competitions.
The position is available from September/October 2013 and through to December 2016 with significant support and professional development opportunities.
