The second ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup begins in Racice, Czech Republic on Friday, with 400 athletes from 36 countries set to compete.
Australia will take the same quartet that competed in Szeged, Hungary, a week ago for the first World Cup, with Ken Wallace (QLD), Bernadette Wallace (QLD), Naomi Flood (NSW) and Lachlan Tame (NSW), all itching to go and out to improve on their performances at World Cup 1.
Leading the Australian charge will be 29 year old Queenslander Ken Wallace, who is in inspired form following a gold medal winning performance in the men’s K1 500 at the first World Cup.

Kicking off the program on Friday morning will be Flood and Wallace in the women’s K1 500 heats from 9am local time.
The duo finished second and fourth respectively behind Western Australian star, Alana Nicholls at the National Championships, and will look to get Australia off to a strong start.
The popular surf life saving pair will also contest the women’s K2 200 and K2 1000 events, and after finishing ninth in the K2 500 at World Cup 1, the pair will go in with confidence of producing a strong performance in Racice.
