2010 Touring Teams Outline

Marathon Events

The events for which teams representing Australia and AC will be selected in the Discipline of Marathon Canoeing in the year 2010 may be:

• 2010 ICF World Championships to be held at Banyolas, Spain, 23rd – 26th September 2010
• 2010 ICF Junior World Championships to be held at Banyolas, Spain, 23rd - 26th September 2010
• 2010 ICF Under 23 K1 World Championships to be held at Banyolas, Spain, 23rd – 26th September 2010
• 2010  ICF World Cup 1 at  ( TBA) , on 12th & 13th  June 2010  (Senior Team Only)
• 2010  ICF World Cup 2 and Junior World Cup to be held at Brandenburg, Germany, 24th & 25th July, 2010
• 2010 ICF Marathon World K4 Cup, to be held at Pontevedra, Spain, (date TBA, pending confirmation)

• The 2010 World Championships to be held in Milan, Italy 1st-5th September 2010

The events for which an Australian Senior World Championships Team (“Senior ‘A’ Team”) Senior World Cup Team, representing Australia and AC, will be selected in 2010 are:

• World Championships Classic, Sort, Spain, 7-13th June 2010;
• World Championships Sprint, Sort, Spain, 7-13th June 2010;
• World Championships Teams, Sort, Spain, 7-13th June 2010;
• World Cup 1 – TBA, 2010;
• World Cup 2 – TBA, 2010;
• World Cup 3 - TBA, 2010;
• World Cup 4 - TBA, 2010;
• World Cup 5 - TBA, 2010;
• World Cup 6 - TBA, 2010;

The event for which an Australian Junior Development Team (“Junior Development, representing Australia and AC, will be selected in 2010 is:

• New Zealand National Championships, Easter May 2010;

There are no scheduled events for Freestyle in 2010

• World Cup 1, 19/20 June 2010, Prague, CZE
• World Cup 2, 26/27 June 2010, Zoetermeer, NED
• World Cup 3, 3‐4 July 2010, La Seu d’Urgell ESP
(b) ICF World Championships, 9‐12 September 2010, Tacen, SLO

• Training camps for a 22 Squad aligned to the NTS training camp program.
• ICF World Ranking Events to be confirmed.

(b) Other International events as determined by AC

• National Talent Development Camps in 2010
• Junior Development Tour to New Zealand TBC.

An Australian Senior Team will be selected for the following events:
World Cup 1 – Vichy, France (7-9 May)
World Cup 2 – Szeged, Hungary (28-30 May)
World Cup 3 – Duisburg, Germany (4-6 June)
World Championships – Poznan, Poland (12-15 August)

Junior Elite, U23 and Emerging Athletes will be selected for the following events:
World Cup 3 – Duisburg, Germany (4-6 June) – limited selection
Rhur Regatta Bochum (18-20 June)
Other International events as determined by AC
Expected staffing: Team Manager, Head Coach, 1-2 Team Coaches

An Australian Junior Team and NTS squad will be selected for the following events:
National Talent Squad Camps April 2010 to January 2011
Junior Olympic Hopefuls Regatta, Slovakia (September 2010)
Other events as determined by AC
