Australia’s Jessica Fox has won her third World U23 C1 title, finishing well in front of her closest rivals at the canoe slalom titles in Kraków, Poland.

Fox finished 3.32 seconds ahead of Great Britain’s Kimberley Woods.

Fox’s younger sister, Noemie, finished seventh.

“It was a really good run, I was really happy to paddle freely in the C1,” Jessica Fox said.

“I had an early mistake at gate three with a touch, but then managed to paddle really well until the finish. I’m happy to win another world title in C1.”

The Fox sisters will contest the final of the K1 on Sunday, with Jess aiming for a third consecutive title.

In other results, Tasmania’s Daniel Watkins finished fifth in the K1 U23 final, while Victoria’s Tristan Carter finished eighth in the C1 junior final.

The World U23 titles will be the last hit out for Jessica Fox ahead of the Rio Olympics.
