World number one Jessica Fox has won the women’s C1 Oceania title in an Australian trifecta ahead of Rosalyn Lawrence and Noemie Fox in Penrith on Sunday.
Despite picking up six seconds of penalties for three gate touches, Fox’s time of 119.02 saw her finish 1.24 seconds clear of Rosalyn Lawrence.
Noemie Fox capped off an outstanding start to 2016 by taking home the bronze medal in 121.54.
The 18-year-old will join older sister, Jess, on the senior team this year for the first time.
An official team announcement will be made on Monday.
