James Rennell elected to the board of Australian Canoeing

At the 2013 AGM, there were two received Director nominations for three Director positions. This created a vacant ‘Interested’ Director position which Members agreed to consider once Australian Canoeing established a Nominations Committee to determine suitable candidates. These candidates would be recommended to the Board and then to Members for voting consideration.

In accordance with rule 22.2 of the Australian Canoeing Constitution, the Australian Canoeing Board called a postal vote (Memorandum dated 20 May, 2014 here) in relation to the vacant ‘Interested’ Director position. Mr James Rennell was nominated for the position.

James RennellJames has more than 25 years experience in business marketing, and has more recently held directorships in property ventures including residential and retail development projects. In his development roles he has liaised with all levels of corporate Australia including the financial, legal and local government sectors. His public relations, design management and business development experience stands him in good stead to utilise his vast knowledge to develop marketing strategies for the future of Australian Canoeing.
