Update – Marathon National Championships

  • Nominations for Australian Canoe Marathon Team close (Masters are now included in the team and must nominate to be selected)
  • Early bird entries close
  • Merchandise pre-orders and Championship Dinner tickets close

Championship Dinner
Dinner tickets for under 12's are now available.  Tickets cost $20.

 
Safety
All athletes MUST have a PFD as part of their paddling equipment as they maybe directed to wear it during racing.
Rules
ICF Canoe Marathon Racing Rules have introduced time penalties during racing.  This includes the introduction and operation of a 'penalty box'.  The 'penalty box' will be near the portage area on the course.
For reference the specific rule is ICF Rule 29.  Team Leaders will be provided with further details.

Volunteers
As always, volunteers are required to help run the championships. If you think you may have a couple of spare hours during the weekend, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator Graeme Bowes on email graemebowes@bigpond.com

There will be two blocks of racing on Saturday and two on Sunday where assistance will be required.
