Bull, Mann & Rypp join Under 23 Team

Alyssa Bull and Rebecca Mann secured their place on the Under 23 team today with a convincing win in the U23 K2 Womens 500m final. Having only recently paired, the two raced well finishing ahead of Victorian pair Hurst & Ahrens with Macarthur & Howcroft placing third.

Glenn Rypp also booked his place on the Under 23 team after his win with Jordan Wood in the 1000m K2 final. The two finished almost a second clear of Joel McKitterick and Bill Bain. Scott Smith and Peter Euers were third. Wood impressed further with his K1 500m win ahead of Bill Bain, replicating Friday's 1000m results.

Naomi Flood took back to back wins in the Women's K1 500m final less than a second ahead of a fast finishing Joanne Brigden Jones and Bernadette Wallace in 3rd. Fueled by her narrow K1 loss, Brigden Jones joined Hannah Minogue taking a very close win ahead of Wallace and Peters with Burnett & Flood back in third in the Women's K2 500m final.

There were no surprises in the Men's Open K1 200m final with Lachie Tame securing a solid victory ahead of Ken Wallace and Ben Gallard.

Paracanoe finals included several newcomers including Tom Kierey of Germany who took out the Mens K1 500m Open Multi-Class. In the V1 500m Open Multi-Class Curtis McGrath won ahead of Glenn Pyne.

Alex Haas got his season off to a great start with a narrow win in the C1 1000m ahead of London Olympic partner Jake Donaghey, before the pair team up to take a claimed the 500m commanding win in the C2, more than 17 seconds ahead of the field.

SA pair Josie Bulmer and Francesca Kidd took out 1st and 2nd in the Under 18 Women's K1 1000m before pairing for a win in the Women's U18 K2 500m final ahead of Rachel Duncan and Tanielle Basson with the Kiwi combination of Ford & McLeely in third. Fellow New Zealander Kurtis Imrie continued his impressive form winning the U18 200m final.
